Roseburg Police jailed a man following an alleged harassment incident early Wednesday.

An RPD report said just after 1:45 a.m. employees detained 62-year old Larry Linderman after he allegedly stole two beers from Sherm’s Thunderbird Market in the 2500 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway. Linderman had been previously trespassed for life due to past thefts from the business.

An officer placed the man in the back of a patrol vehicle and Linderman reportedly began to kick the window bars. Another officer advised the man not to do that and Linderman allegedly responded by spitting in the officer’s face. The suspect’s parole officer was contacted and requested that Linderman also be charged with a parole violation.

Additional charges included aggravated harassment, first-degree criminal trespass, and third-degree theft. Linderman was detained without bail.
