A Portland man was jailed by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office after a traffic stop early Tuesday.

A DCSO report said shortly before 2:00 am. 30-year old George Leck was allegedly driving 112 miles per hour on Interstate Five northbound about four miles north of Glendale. During a traffic stop, Leck allegedly provided the trooper with another person’s information, claiming that he was them. He was ultimately detained. Leck admitted his identity and said that he has lied because he was criminally suspended.

Leck was charged with driving while suspended or revoked, reckless driving, providing false information to a police officer, and for identity theft. He was detained without bail.
