Governor Tina Kotek has recently submitted a list of state board and commission appointments to the Oregon Senate for confirmation.

The Senate Committee on Rules is scheduled to consider the nominations during September Legislative Days, which runs from September 27th through September 29th.

Three Douglas County residents are among those nominated:

*Jeffery Weller for the Lottery Commission

*Scott Beckstead for the Racing Commission

*Travis Hill for the Tourism Commission

Kotek also said the state is accepting applications for additional positions on state boards and commissions that were created in the 2023 legislative session and called on Oregonians to consider stepping up to serve.
