One person was jailed and five people were cited in a trespass incident on Friday morning.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 8:00 a.m. a resident called and said there were trespassers camping on his property near the south end of Southeast Mill Street, just outside the Roseburg city limits. A deputy contacted a 30-year old transient who came out of the property and was walking along the railroad tracks. The man allegedly did not want to cooperate and refused to talk to the deputy. The suspect was charged with first and second-degree trespass.

The other transients, ranging in age from 43 to 69 years of age, were cited for second-degree criminal trespass. They were advised to pack up and leave.
