Roseburg Police jailed a man following an alleged overnight burglary early Friday.

An RPD report said just after 3:00 a.m. officers responded to an alarm at McMenamins in the 700 block of Southeast Sheridan Street. A man was chased from the location and hid from officers in the area. With the assistance of K-9 Nike and the Winston Police Department officers, the suspect was eventually located and taken into custody. He was identified as 36-year old Joshua Musselman.

The report said Musselman allegedly broke into a cooler at the business and stole various food items and 145 cans of beer. He was charged with second-degree counts of burglary, criminal mischief and theft, and with being in possession of burglary tools. Musselman was detained without bail and was released later in the morning.
