The Douglas Timber Operators have announced the recipients of their 2023-23 college scholarships.

A DTO release said applicants must live in Douglas, Coos, and Lane counties with the intention to major in a natural- resources related field.

Recipients are:

*Trevor Muir recently completed his associates transfer degree at Umpqua Community College and has chosen to study Forest Management at Oregon State University this fall.

*Jacob Mitchell is a repeat scholarship awardee from 2022 and recently earned his associate degree from Southwestern Oregon Community College. He will continue his education at the College of Forestry at Oregon State University.

*Luke Donaldson is currently working toward a degree in natural resources from OSU-Cascades and has an impressive volunteer history with many forestry and natural resource related groups.

*Isaac Cherry will be transferring with his associate’s degree from Umpqua Community College to the College of Forestry at Oregon State University this fall.

DTO member companies fund the scholarship program, which awarded more than $10,000 combined this year.
