A Roseburg man was cited for depositing trash within one 100 yards of a waterway by Roseburg Police on Wednesday.

An RPD report said at 8:50 a.m. the 33-year old was contacted on business property in the 2500 block of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard, as well as on two nearby parcels of property. The camp is along the edge of a tributary creek which is still currently flowing into Deer Creek.

The man allegedly had approximately four truckloads of debris and garbage in the camp which was in an area where there was no easy access to removed the debris. The man said he had been camped in this area since May and stated that most of the trash was there when he got there.

The man was warned of trespass, in addition to the citation. He was given an hour and a half to remove his possessions from the camp and warned that if he was on the property again, he would be arrested.
