A commercial motor vehicle crash took place on Interstate Five northbound Saturday night.

An Oregon State Police report said at about 10:40 p.m. the vehicle was northbound on the freeway just south of the Clarks Branch Road exit. The truck tractor and trailer combination collided with guardrail adjacent to the slow lane. It then drove off the northbound shoulder into the hillside.

The driver and a passenger, both men from California, were not injured. The vehicle sustained major front-end damage and had to be towed from the scene.
