Sutherlin City Manager Jerry Gillham has announced that the rodeo grounds, at 250 South State Street has been designated as a refuge from the wildfires in the region, for livestock.

Gillham said the facility has been set up so residents can bring their animals into town to get away from the fires. Douglas County Commissioners have been notified and the sanctioned by the emergency operations center.
