Roseburg Police jailed a man following an alleged trespass incident early Friday.

An RPD report said at 12:15 a.m. officers contacted the 25-year old after a victim in the 1100 block of Northeast Highland Street called 911 about the suspect turning his porch light off and on.

When officers arrived, they saw that the suspect had gone through the victim’s trash can, spread garbage all over the driveway and had gone through some of the victim’s belongings right next to his front door. There were numerous no trespassing signs posted on the property and the suspect was asked if he saw them. The man said he did see them, but he didn’t care.

The suspect was charged with second-degree criminal trespass. Bail was set at $1,250.
