Next Thursday August 31st is International Overdose Awareness Day.

Adapt Integrated Health Care will host a community event that day from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The gathering will feature opening remarks, a moment of silence for lives lost, and vital resources like free Naloxone kits and training. Panel discussions will focus on prevention, treatment and recovery. There will be a community art project to remember those who have been lost as well.

The Douglas Public Health Network, HIV Alliance and local government officials will also participate.
