Roseburg Police cited a man for harassment on Thursday night.

An RPD report said just before 11:30 p.m. officers responded to the entrance of Safeway in the 1500 block of Southeast Stephens Street after a caller said there was a physical disturbance.

Officers learned the 40-year old suspect allegedly chased a woman across the parking lot. A man with her asked the suspect to stop. The suspect then reportedly went towards that man, grabbing his bicycle and allegedly pushing him to the ground before punching him on the top of the head, twice. The victim was able to get away and when the suspect started to take off with the victim’s bicycle, the man pepper sprayed the suspect in the face.

Roseburg Police released the suspect after the citation was issued.
