The Oregon State University Extension Service in Douglas County has a free gardening class on Thursday.

Those attending will learn how to design a beautiful and sustainable landscape that requires less energy, time and money. Douglas County Master Gardener Geoff Puryear will share the basic principles of low maintenance and drought tolerant gardening.

The class will run from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and will be at the Discovery Garden on River Forks Road, next to River Forks Park. No registration is required. Call the extension office at 672-4461 for more information.
