The Roseburg City Council will interview candidates for the Planning Commission prior to its regular council meeting Monday night.

Those interviews will begin at 5:45 p.m. Daniel Endicott, Jarriett Neilsen and Matthew Keller have all applied for a vacant position.

The regular meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. Councilors will likely make an appointment to the Planning Commission at that time.

A light agenda includes a public hearing regarding a resolution to exempt the purchase of a trailer mounted vacuum excavator from the competitive bid process.

Councilors will have first reading of an ordinance granting a telecommunications franchise. They will also have first and second reading of an ordinance amending Roseburg Municipal Code.

The meeting will be held in the Roseburg City Council Chambers. It can be seen on the city’s Facebook page or viewed later at www.cityofroseburg.org
