MAN JAILED FOLLOWING ALLEGED HARASSMENT/VIOLATION OF NO CONTACT ORDER

A man was jailed by Roseburg Police for alleged harassment and for violating a no contact release agreement on Monday.

An RPD report said at 12:00 p.m. a victim said the suspect had come to her residence in the 1400 block of Northwest Grove Street and struck her in the head. An officer noted that there was a large knot on the victim’s head.

The suspect, identified as 56-year old Tony Palm of Eugene, was located pulling into a parking lot in the 1300 block of Southeast Stephens Street. Palm admitted going to the residence. His vehicle was towed away. During an inventory search of the pickup, officers allegedly located about 2.5 grams of methamphetamine.

Palm was also charged for a separate theft case. He was held for two counts of harassment, second-degree theft and for two violations of a no contact release agreement. Bail was set at $12,500.
