A Camas Valley man was taken to the hospital after a motorcycle wreck on Wednesday night.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at about 8:50 p.m. the 32-year old was heading down Benedict Road towards Highway 42 in the Camas Valley area when he crashed off the roadway, throwing his bike over and past him. The victim appeared to have broken his leg and appeared to be in much pain.

Douglas County Fire District No. 2 transported the man to CHI Mercy Medical Center where he is listed in serious condition at last check, according to a hospital spokesperson. His motorcycle was towed from the scene.
