Roseburg Police cited a man for camping at the Duck Pond on Wednesday afternoon.

An RPD report said at 1:00 p.m. the 69-year old had a tent set up in the inner area of the pond, in the 1000 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard. The area around him allegedly had trash and six shopping carts in it. The man had previously been issued a copy of the new camping ordinance and had been warned that he would be cited if he did not obey it.

The man was cited and released on the scene. He was given trash bags and instructed to clean up his mess.
