A vehicle went down an embankment on Highway 138W near Elkton on Sunday night.

An Oregon State Police report said at about 7:10 p.m. the driver of an SUV, a 36-year old Gold Hill man, made an avoidance maneuver due to an oncoming vehicle. He was unable to recover and his vehicle left the roadway.

The driver was not hurt. A tow company recovered his SUV.
