A Roseburg man was jailed by Roseburg Police for alleged theft incidents on Friday.
An RPD report said just after 1:30 p.m. 31-year old Sean Shoemaker flagged down officers and said his bike had been stolen in the 700 block of Southeast Jackson Street. During the interview, officers learned that the manager of Roseburg Resale was the one who took the bike back after Shoemaker allegedly stole it from the store. Shoemaker then admitted to taking the bike without paying for it.
While officers were taking the man into custody, a witness identified Shoemaker as the man that just ate and left without paying for his meal at Mariachi Loco in the 600 block of Southeast Jackson Street. Shoemaker also admitted to that offense as well. Shoemakers parole officer sent a detainer to the jail for the new crimes.
He was charged with two counts of third-degree theft and for a parole violation. Shoemaker was detained without bail.
