Sutherlin Police jailed a Bend man for an alleged DUII incident early Sunday.

An SPD report said at 3:00 a.m. an officer spoke with an allegedly heavily intoxicated subject outside a business in the 200 block of West Central Avenue. The 27-year old appeared to be preparing to drive home. The officer told the man not to drive, due to his level of intoxication. The suspect stumbled around for approximately ten minutes and then allegedly decided to drive off. The officer stopped the man and took him into custody.

The man was identified as Sheldon Davis and was described as being highly uncooperative. A search warrant was granted for his blood, which was drawn at CHI Mercy Medical Center. Davis was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants, for reckless driving and resisting arrest. He was detained without bail. His vehicle was towed away.
