In celebration of its 100th anniversary, Gerretsen Building Supply will host a free community event on Saturday, featuring vendor demonstrations, outdoor games and more.

The celebration will run from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the store on Northeast Airport Road. A thank-you address is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Outdoor activities will include a bounce house, face painting, corn hole plus more. Food trucks will serve hamburgers, barbecue and various sides. Community members can pay to participate in a dunk tank will all proceeds benefiting the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

The recently remodeled home improvement store includes a paint center, plumbing, electrical, hardware, lawn and garden, power tools and other items.
