A California woman was jailed for an alleged assault on Friday night.

A Roseburg Police report said at 7:00 p.m. the 21-year old from Yuba City allegedly assaulted an employee at the Dollar Tree in the 700 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard. The suspect reportedly started a verbal altercation and engaged in a physical fight. The woman allegedly threw a bottle of Powerade which hit the victim in the face.

The woman was detained nearby. She was charged with fourth-degree assault and second-degree disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $8,750. The suspect was released on Saturday. The victim sustained a laceration on her lip and two loose teeth.
