A Roseburg man was jailed after an alleged menacing incident on Thursday.

A Roseburg Police report said at about 3:45 p.m. an officer investigated a disturbance at a business in the 1000 block of Northeast Stephens Street. 20-year old Ridge Ellis reportedly threatened to punch a victim. Ellis allegedly punched and damaged the victim’s vehicle, threw her electronic tablet to the ground and then fled the scene.

Ellis was detained nearby. He was held on two counts of second-degree criminal mischief, second-degree disorderly conduct, menacing and for a Jackson County warrant. Ellis was held on $2,500 bail.
