In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:

Riverbend Live! continues its summer concert series with the annual night of cowboy poetry and western music Friday night.

Musician Sourdough Slim is joined by Robert Armstrong, with poet and reciter Randy Rieman on stage as well. They will fill the evening with the sounds and stories of the old west and western life.

The series takes place at Winston’s Riverbend Park beginning at 7:00 p.m. Those attending can put out a blanket or chair earlier in the day. Event goers can bring their own meal, along with wine and beer, or purchase dinner from the food and beverage vendors.

The series concludes with a Youth Theater production next Friday and Saturday.
