The Roseburg Fire Department has announced that three new firefighters have been added to their staff.

In a post on social media this week, the men were welcomed as they begin their careers with RFD. They are:

*Firefighter Alex Flores – a graduate of Grants Pass High School who is currently studying Fire Science at Rogue Community College. Prior to accepting his new position, Flores was working as an Apprentice Firefighters with Jackson County Fire District No 5

*Firefighter Isaiah Heard – a graduate of Umpqua Valley Christian School who is currently enrolled in the Fire Science program at Umpqua Community College. Before coming to RFD Heard was volunteering full-time as a cadet with the Winston-Dillard Fire District

*Firefighters Jonathan Gassman – he was homeschooled and is currently enrolled in the Fire Science program at Umpqua Community College. Before accepting his new position, Gassman was a Student Volunteer with the Sutherlin Fire Department
