The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a man after an alleged disturbance on Monday night.
A DCSO report said at 9:30 p.m. a caller said a disturbance was quickly escalating six miles up Long’s Ranch Road in the Umpqua area. A deputy learned that a 47-year old was allegedly very intoxicated and belligerent with family members. The report said the suspect was mostly verbal but at one point allegedly pushed an elderly victim to the ground.
The man also allegedly punched out another victim’s passenger rear window as pay back for a previous incident. He was ultimately taken into custody and charged with second-degree criminal mischief and for harassment. The man was detained without bail.
