A Roseburg man was arrested after alleged restraining order violations on Sunday night.

A Roseburg Police report said shortly after 11:00 p.m. officers responded to Denny’s in the 300 block of West Harvard Avenue after a victim reported the 32- year old that she had a restraining order against, was at the same location.

When an officer told the man that he was under arrest, he grabbed the man’s arm to place him into handcuffs. The suspect allegedly grabbed the officer’s arm and dug his fingernails into the officer’s arm. The man allegedly resisted arrest and was taken to the ground. Backup officers assisted with taking the man into custody.

After the suspect was taken into custody, officers learned that he had violated the restraining order earlier in the day when he attempted to force his way into the victim’s residence.

The man was charged with two counts of a restraining order violation, second-degree criminal trespass, harassment and with resisting arrest. He was detained on $5,000 bail.
