A Heat Advisory remains in effect for much of southern Oregon through 9:00 p.m. Sunday.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said high temperatures of 95 to 100 degrees are expected.

The Advisory area is for central Douglas County including the communities of Roseburg, Elkton, Camas Valley and Canyonville. It also applies to eastern Curry County, along with Josephine and Jackson counties.

Forecasters said hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses to occur.

Residents should drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances.
