Roseburg Police cited a man for criminal trespass in the first-degree, following an incident on Thursday.

An RPD report said just after 3:00 p.m. a railroad engineer said they saw a pedestrian jump on his train, behind the engine, in the area of Northeast Cedar Street and Northeast Chestnut Avenue.

An officer located a 21-year old man further down the tracks and learned that he had just climbed between a couple railroad cars, in order to bypass the train.

The suspect was cited in lieu of custody
