A Heat Advisory remains in effect from 12:00 p.m. Friday through 9:00 p.m. Sunday for much of southern Oregon and northern California.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service said temperatures will be around 100 degrees in southern Oregon and between 105 and 110 degrees in northern California.
Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses to occur. The hottest temperatures are expected to be on Saturday.
Forecasters said residents should drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances.
