Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged DUII incident on Sunday.
An RPD report said at 11:50 a.m. officers responded to the parking lot of Sherm’s Thunderbird in the 2500 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway after a caller said an intoxicated man was in the parking lot.
Officers learned the 78-year old man had driven there. He performed poorly on standard field sobriety tests. He was taken to jail where he reportedly refused to provide a breath sample. A search warrant was requested. After a blood draw was taken, he was placed in jail.
Charges included driving under the influence of intoxicants, driving uninsured, driving while suspended-violation, failure to install to an interlock device and refusal to take a test for intoxicants. He was detained on $ 10,000 bail and released later in the day.
