Roseburg Police jailed a man after an alleged harassment incident on Friday.

An RPD report said at 7:10 a.m. 43-year old Henry Beckwith allegedly attacked a victim by kicking a wheelchair into him, threatening him with a hammer and then stealing some of the man’s property. The incident occurred at the corner of Southeast Jackson Street and Southeast Washington Avenue.

Beckwith was charged with harassment, second-degree criminal mischief, menacing and third-degree theft. Bail was set at $17,000.
