A transient was jailed for resisting arrest and for warrants on Thursday night.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 9:45 p.m. a deputy responded to the 22000 block of Tyee Road in the Oakland area after a caller said there was a suspicious female.

The deputy contacted a 24-year old woman who was in the middle of the road. Dispatch advised that the woman had active warrants out of Jackson County and Del Norte county in California. When the deputy attempted to take the suspect in custody, she allegedly started ripping her arms away and kicking.

Ultimately the woman was secured in handcuffs. When other deputies arrived, the woman allegedly refused to walk, and had to be carried to a patrol vehicle. She was held for two parole violations and was detained without bail.
