FOREST SERVICE SEEKS PUBLIC COMMENT ON DANGER TREE MITIGATION PROJECT

Staff with the Umpqua National Forest is seeking public comment for the next thirty days on the Wildfire Roadside Danger Tree Mitigation Project.

A UNF release said the forest is proposing to fell standing danger trees along identified national forest system roads within or immediately adjacent to the perimeters of the Devils Knob Complex, Rough Patch Complex, and Jack Fire wildfires located in the North Umpqua, Diamond Lake and Tiller Ranger Districts.
