MAN JAILED FOR EIGHT COUNTS OF RESTRAINING ORDER VIOLATION

A Winston man was jailed for eight counts of a restraining order violation by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office early Sunday.

A DCSO report said at 12:10 a.m. a victim was at home in the 2000 block of Roberts Creek Road when 28-year old Dillon McSperitt showed up and allegedly spun cookies and did burnouts in the driveway. McSperitt was also witnessed driving back and forth in front of the residence. After he left, the suspect also allegedly attempted to call the victim two times via Facebook Messenger and sent her five messages on TikTok which were all violations of the restraining order.

At about 11:20 a.m. McSperitt was contacted by Winston Police officers at his residence and taken into custody. He was detained on $40,000 bail.
