The South Umpqua School District is offering its Kindergarten Readiness Program later this summer.

Emily Veale of the SUSD said the program provides a unique opportunity for new students to come to school for three half days to learn routines, participate in early kindergarten lessons and begin to build relationships between staff and families. Veale said it will take place August 14th through 16th for incoming kindergarten students at Myrtle Creek, Canyonville and Tri City elementary schools.
