Roseburg got hotter than expected on Thursday, topping the 90-degree mark, but still missing the record high for the date.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said the mercury hit 91 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. 87 degrees had been the predicated high. The hottest June 22nd in Roseburg history happened in 1958 when the high reached 94 degrees.

The Umpqua Valley is forecast to stay in the 80s for the next week, with no rain expected for the foreseeable future.
