A Roseburg woman was jailed following an alleged harassment incident on Saturday.

A Roseburg Police report said at 2:30 p.m. officers contacted 35-year old Monica Schmidt after a caller said she was extremely intoxicated while in the parking lot of a business in the 700 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard.

While speaking with officers, Schmidt allegedly punched an officer in the chest and was taken to the ground where she continued to punch and struggle. She was charged with harassment, second-degree counts of criminal mischief and harassment, resisting arrest and for attempting to commit a Class C Felony. Schmidt was detained without bail and was released on Monday.
