Four people were cited for depositing trash within one-hundred yards of a waterway on Monday.

A Roseburg Police report said at 8:45 a.m. the individuals were contacted in their camps between the ball fields and the river at Gaddis Park, in the 800 block of Northwest Highland Street. All camps were approximately twenty feet from the water’s edge. A 60-year old man had a large amount of trash blocking the lower road, making it impassable. A 49-year old’s camp contained approximately ten cubic yards of items and debris. The other individuals, ages 30 and 38, were contacted at their tent, which was surrounded by a few bags worth of loose trash.

All were released after the citations were issued.
