Roseburg Police jailed a man Wednesday for an alleged sex offense.

An RPD report said at 3:30 p.m. officers contacted the 62-year old after he was called in for his poor parking job and attempts on the eastside of the Public Safety Center on Southeast Douglas Avenue. During the officer’s contact with the man it was learned that he was out of compliance with his sex offender return.

The man had moved to Washington and never updated his address, according to the report. The suspect was charged with failure to register as a sex offender. Bail was set at $50,000.
