ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR ALLEGED THEFT, AND FOR WARRANT

Roseburg Police jailed a man after an alleged theft, and for a warrant, on Thursday.

An RPD report said just after 5:20 p.m. officers contacted 40-year old William Aloia during a traffic stop in the parking lot of a business in the 1500 block of Northeast Stephens Street. His driver license was violation suspended in Oregon. There was a warrant for his arrest out of Washington County.

Officers determined that Aloia had just stolen a tool bag from another location. Those tools were valued at over $1,000. The tools were recovered and his vehicle was impounded. He was charged with first-degree theft, unlawful entry into a motor vehicle and for the warrant. Bail was set at $ 5,000.
