Feeding Umpqua’s Cheese and Thank you fundraiser continues through the end of May.

Eleven restaurants in Roseburg, Sutherlin, Glide, Elkton and Myrtle Creek are offering their unique take on and old favorite – grilled cheese. Each sale of a grilled cheese item from and of the participating restaurants will result in $2 being donated to Feeding Umpqua, a program of the United Community Action Network.

Feeding Umpqua Director Sarah McGregor said to sweeten the deal, the non-profit is also offering several chances to win prizes. Passports can be picked up from any participating outlet. McGregor said getting a card filled out will enter customers into a drawing for a $150 Sherm’s gift certificate.

Grilled cheese buyers can also take a picture of their sandwich or a selfie, post it to Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #CheeseandThanks23 and be entered into another drawing for prizes.
