A piece of dropped chicken led to a single vehicle wreck Monday afternoon.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 4:10 p.m. a 64-year old woman was driving northbound in the 8000 block of Old Highway 99 North in the Wilbur area when the accident took place. The woman’s sedan hit a sign and a culvert before coming to a rest.

The vehicle was towed and the woman was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center in a private vehicle.
