A Glide man died in a single vehicle accident on Monday night.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said just after 7:10 p.m. a sedan operated by 42-year old Rien Loftin was headed towards Glide in the 11000 block of Buckhorn Road when it left the roadway and collided with a wooden fence post. Life saving measures were attempted by emergency medical personnel, but they were not successful.

Loftin was the sole occupant and no other vehicles were involved. Next of kin was contacted and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
