A number of organizations are partnering to hold a Community Listening Event to address community grief in the wake of recent losses to suicide.

Adapt Integrated Health Care, Lines for Life, the Oregon Family Support Network and the Douglas Education Service District will hold the meeting on Tuesday May 23rd from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Ford Room at the Roseburg Public Library on Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard.

A release said the event will feature a keynote presentation focused on helping individuals navigate through grief and loss, understanding the signs and symptoms of suicide, and how to effectively communicate with family and friends about suicide. Safe storage materials, including gun safes and medication lock boxes, will be provided to community members.
