10.41 percent of registered voters have cast a ballot in the May Special Districts Election, as of Tuesday evening.

Douglas County Clerk Daniel Loomis said the 9,133 ballots that have been received, lags just over one percent behind the participation rate for the same point in the 2021 May Special Districts Election.

Loomis said voters who have not yet received a ballot should contact the Clerk’s Office. Before turning their ballot in, voters should make sure they have reviewed and completed both sides of the ballot, and have signed the voter statement on the ballot return envelope.

Ballots should be taken to one of fifteen ballot drop sites around the county. Eight of those are drive-up locations. The list of sites is linked: https://douglascounty-oregon.us/179/Official-Drop-Site-Locations
