A driver was hurt following an accident on Friday morning.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Officer report said just before 8:30 a.m. a sedan wrecked in the 1800 block of Elkhead Road in the Yoncalla area. The 39-year old man said he was eastbound when an oncoming vehicle was driving in both lanes of travel. The driver claimed that in order to avoid a collision he turned into the oncoming lane of travel and exited the roadway on the north side. The man said his jaw may have been broken as a result of the crash.

The vehicle that caused the accident was described as a two-tone short bed Chevrolet pickup, but no further information about it was available. The driver was transported by a family member to receive medical attention.
