A Winter Storm Watch is in effect from Friday evening through late Sunday night for the South Central and Southern Oregon Cascades and Siskiyou Mountains.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service said heavy snow is possible with accumulations of 15 to 20 inches expected.
The Watch area includes Diamond Lake, and Union Creek. It applies to portions of highways 62, 230, 138 and the Crater Lake area.
Forecasters said heavy snow could result in difficult and hazardous travel conditions.
Drivers should stock an emergency kit with tire chains, flashlight, batteries, blankets, food, water and medications.
