In the KQEN Business Spotlight:

Cascade Community Credit Union was recognized as “Small Business of the Year” at last Thursday’s Roseburg Chamber of Commerce First Citizen’s banquet.

CCCU Marketing Director Shelby Beattie said those honored as Business of the Year have made a substantial contribution to the community for the last five years or longer, have employees who individually or collectively participate in the community and/or the physical presence of the business adds to the economic vitality and livability of the community.

Beattie said Cascade was recognized for its “outstanding community involvement and commitment to their members and community” by chamber officials.

Beattie said since 2017, Cascade:

*Has grown its membership by 26 percent. That is a growth of over 3,500 members with total membership now at over 17,000

*Contributed over $150,000 to local educators through CCCU Chalkboard Grants

*Increased accessibility through additional ATM locations and updated technology

Cascade CEO Lynn Calvert said, “We are humbled to be recognized for our dedication to serving our members in Douglas County”. Calvert said, “This honor is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our staff who help members with daily and long-term financial solutions every day”.

CCCU began in 1948 and is celebrating its 75th year in operation.
