The driver was injured in a single vehicle accident early Thursday morning.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said just after 5:30 a.m. the 36-year old from Sacramento was driving westbound on Non Pareil Road in the Oakland area when he apparently fell asleep and drove off the roadway and into a ditch. The man complained of arm pain and was driven to CHI Mercy Medical Center. He was cited and released for no operators license and for driving uninsured.

The vehicle was towed from the scene.
